Message did you actually read everything I typed?

I do not intend to do any sort of spirited driving, all I am looking for is a pair of tires that will be dependable at 55-65 mph for me to drive to and back from school so I can put enough miles on my engine for the break in period. I will not be driving it in the rain and most likely will be driving it one day a week. The Z is not my DD.

I want to get the car to Specialty Z and checked/tuned by Greg so I can know that I actually did a good job rebuilding my engine (it was the first time I actually rebuilt an engine) and that it hopefully can give me a good 100k miles. I am not intending to turn up the boost right out of Specialty Z's garage and go nuts.

As Dave mentioned, I barely drive the car and when I do I drive like a grandma. What Dave said is true, I actually had him drive the Z and check why I am not hitting 7 PSI, only to find out it was user error. Nonetheless, I am asking a serious question, looking for some informative replies. As you can see in my profile, my occupation is a full time student and my budget is a bit tight so I cannot go out and buy 4 new tires and my goal is to get a pair of tires for the rear and bring the Nexens up front. My biggest concern at the moment is getting the car to SZ so it can be tuned.

I have nightmares about that happening...I'd be the poor bastard you'd hear about on the news that gets killed by a softball-size chunk while spreading out my body over the hood and screaming "Nooo!" (Having a conversation about hail damage) - BradZ (FL) on March 25, 2005 at 9:56 PM

Tell your friend that you could take a dump, light it on fire and that would be hotter shit than his car. Probes suck, that's just all there is to it. - 300ZXpert (someday) on April 04, 2005 at 11:35 PM

P.S. You REALLY are on here at ALL hours! And I thought I was bad! :) - zmenon on August 16, 2005 at 3:06 AM
